Ms. Sadaf Jalal is a dedicated geologist and academic with over nine years of teaching and research experience at the Faculty of Geology and Mines, Kabul Polytechnic University. Her work focuses on petroleum geology, reservoir evaluation, and mineral exploration, contributing to the development of Afghanistan’s natural resources sector through education and applied research.

She holds a Master of Science in Geological Engineering and Exploration of Mines from Kabul Polytechnic University, where she also earned her Bachelor’s degree in Geology and Mines with a specialization in oil and gas exploration and exploitation.

Throughout her academic career, Ms. Jalal has authored and co-authored several scientific papers published in the Kabul Polytechnic University Journal and international journals. Her research topics include gas reservoir exploitation, evaluation of oil and gas complexes in northern Afghanistan, and mechanical properties of desert sands.

In addition to her teaching and supervision of over 50 student monographs, Ms. Jalal has participated in numerous training programs and workshops in collaboration with GIZ, USAID, and the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, enhancing her expertise in GIS, AutoCAD, and petroleum engineering technologies.

Her professional approach is guided by values of integrity, dedication, and a passion for advancing geological sciences in Afghanistan.
